Dear Band Students and Parents,
We are pleased to announce the opportunity for band students in grades 5-11 to audition for scholarship funds to be applied towards a summer music camp of their choice. This year the Dexter Band Boosters will be awarding scholarships at the annual Band Booster Scholarship Auditions. That is 7 scholarships of $400 for each band at Dexter High School, Mill Creek Middle School, and Creekside Intermediate School. A professional music educator from a surrounding area school will serve as an adjudicator in awarding scholarships.
Scholarship auditions will take place at Dexter High School on Tuesday, February 11th, at 6:30PM. Audition check-in will be held in the DHS Band Room no later than 6:20PM. Students should perform a solo or music they have prepared, and provide one copy for the judge (photocopies are acceptable.) Scholarship winners will be announced the following day in band class. Parents are encouraged to attend!
