Volunteer to Support the Band Program

All volunteers for Dexter Community Schools must complete the VOLUNTEER PLACEMENT & BACKGROUND CHECK FORM each school year. Access the brief, online form here:

May 25 High School Uniform Turn-In

Students will be turning in their uniforms on May 25, Memorial Day, and we need many hands to make light and fast work!

3 adult volunteers are needed to set up tables before the parade. Meet in the DHS band room at 8:30 am. 

20-25 adult volunteers are needed to help with the turn in process after the parade. We will be starting as soon as the band is done marching, so please arrive in the band room between 10:30 and 10:45am. If you want to watch the band in the parade first, you can see them from the top of the hill on Main Street and leave for the band room right after the band passes.

August 3 and 4 DHS Bands Uniform Fittings

Lots of volunteers are needed for our band uniform fitting days to run smoothly and your help will be very appreciated! No prior experience is necessary at all.

ABCD Concessions

ABCD (Athletic Booster Club of Dexter):  A non-profit organization that helps promote and support Dexter Community School District’s athletics program, band program and all teams.  ABCD donates at least $35 to our program for each shift a BAND parent or student volunteers to work in the concession stand. For the past several years, due to families giving their time and talent, these donations have boosted our Band Booster balance and helped provide scholarships, offset the cost of band camp and other expenses.

Earn money for the DHS Marching Band by volunteering at sports concessions! The Marching Band is considered a team that is eligible for support from the Athletic Booster Club of Dexter!

It’s as easy as 1-2-3 to earn money for your team:

  1. Sign up for your desired time slot(s) noting the team your pay will be distributed to – list “Marching Band”
  2. Sign-in at the concession stand when you arrive to confirm your fulfillment
  3. Show-out by wearing a Dexter hat to comply with health department regulations

ALL WORKERS MUST WEAR A HAT!



Fall 2026 Home Football Games Marching Band Support

Location: Al Ritt Stadium

All supplies will be provided for football pre-game water and halftime snack serving. Just sign up, then show up to help with this quick task!
