If Dexter High School hosts the first round of MHSAA high school football playoff games, the Dexter High School Dreadnaught Marching Band will attend and perform in full uniform.

If Dexter High School hosts any other rounds of the MHSAA high school football playoff games, the Dexter High School Dreadnaught Marching Band students will have the option to attend and perform with a voluntary Pep Band (no uniform). Performing at this point is encouraged but not mandatory.

If the Dexter High School Varsity Football team advances far enough into the MHSAA high school football playoffs, potential away games may be planned for optional Pep Band or Drumline to travel for (no uniform). This is TBD depending on the game and location.

If the Dexter High School Varsity Football team advances to the final round of the MHSAA high school football playoffs, the State Championship Game hosted at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan, the Dexter High School Dreadnaught Marching Band will be highly encouraged to perform. Travel will be arranged, and the band will perform in full uniform. The MHSAA State Championship Game will be on Friday, November 29 at 7:00 PM. (UPDATED 10/29)

Should the Dexter High School Varsity Football team lose at any point during the MHSAA high school football playoffs, the team will be automatically eliminated and the season will end immediately.

Weather conditions may impact the band’s attendance and/or dismissal time from a playoff game. Decisions will be communicated by the directors as needed.

**Any students who perform voluntarily for games beyond Round 1 may earn make-up and extra credit!
